We should embrace the OS opportunity together...
The dark days are over. Football is getting better, the squad is getting better.

The mood around the club and fans is on the up.

To top it all off we have the opportunity to watch our team in a magnificent stadium.

We are the masters of our own destiny.

Embrace it.

Amen brothers.

People will have concerns, understandable, but I doubt there will be any real issues. We'll come to love it I reckon, who wouldn't.

I agree. I think its the best LOOKING stadium in the country. That's different to being the best stadium to watch football.

Yeah.

If we fill it, the entire lower teir stands, the roof keeps in the noise, and we are playing good football the atmosphere will be cracking.

Hopefully there are a lot of idiot away fans who come into our end and get the shit slapped out of them to further improve the atmosphere.

Plus West Ham support and sensible standing will never be that..... sensible.

Think of the games when were up for it not the games there in general. The police would have a riot on their hands on enough occasions to give it the fuck off pill.

I would think they would be against standing , as our stadium will accomidate a lot of supporters without having to stand .

If safe standing was introduced then small grounds would be able to accomidate more fans than they can currently so would then be in compertition with us without the expense to increase capacity .

Good luck to the stewards at the OS telling 40 odd thousand West Ham fans to sit down every minute or two...what are they going to do ?

Issue lifetime bans for each and everyone of them?

Re: We should embrace the OS opportunity together...
The lower tier at the OS will all stand...

I expect that the entire East 'Kop' Stand will all be on their feet as well - should be a great atmosphere in that part of the ground...

Re: We should embrace the OS opportunity together...
yep, that was Gold0 mouthing off as usual without any actual action. No chance that the club are going to rock the boat with the LLDC by asking for safe standing. Better instead hope that these lead the way against the scousers:

Supported by: Aldershot Town, Aston Villa, Barnsley, Brentford, Bristol City, Burnley, Cardiff City, Crystal Palace, Derby County, Doncaster Rovers, Exeter City, Hull City, Leeds United, Luton Town, Oldham Athletic, Peterborough United, Plymouth Argyle, Portsmouth, Reading, Shrewsbury Town, Sunderland, Swansea City, Swindon Town, Watford, AFC Wimbledon, Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Scottish Premier League

We're not as it happens.

Despite what Gold and Brady have said in public about safe standing they've actually refused to support the safe standing campaign.

Can't trust a word these cunts say on such subjects.

we can attract big name players at our current SHIT ground, and we can beat big teams as well. so it kind of blows all this..having to move to progress, we'll die at upton park...bullshit out of the water doesnt it?

No it doesn't. We've just spent £40m ish when has that ever happened? The team is being prepared to hit the ground running by the time we move from our current SHIT ground.
